DESCRIPTION:🎉 On June 28\, 2025\, GI Desk was honored to participate in a major community outreach event organized by the Kariakoo Charity Foundation (KCF) — the impactful “Kariakoo ya Upendo: Season One.” \nThe event\, held at Kariakoo\, brought together over 1\,000 community members for a day filled with compassion\, education\, and critical services aimed at uplifting vulnerable groups and promoting social welfare. \nThe following initiatives were covered:\n✅ Gender-Based Violence (GBV) awareness and prevention education – addressing causes\, consequences\, and community-based solutions.\n✅ Provision of psychosocial support and referral services for survivors of abuse.\n✅ Collaboration with healthcare professionals to offer basic medical checkups\, reproductive health education\, and nutrition counseling.\n✅ Public education on human rights\, especially those of women\, children\, and marginalized populations. \nWe believe that true development cannot be achieved without a healthy\, safe\, and gender-just society.
